日光杉並木 Nikko Sugi-Namiki
寛永２年（1625）から植樹された400年近い歴史のある世界一長い並木道。13,000本の巨大な杉が総延長37キロに渡って続いています。一本一本が巨大で荘厳な雰囲気が漂う杉並木は、国の特別史跡と特別天然記念物の二重指定を受けています。日光インから徒歩10分。
About 13,000 ceder trees are planted since 1625. The length of avenue is 37km, the longest avenue of ciders in the world. Every cedar is huge and magnificent. This avenue has been designated not only as National Historic Site but also as National Special Natural Monument. About 10-min. on foot from Nikko Inn.

日光杉並木沿いにある日光イン周辺は昔ながらの農村風景が広がり、蛍など今では貴重な動植物が生息しています。
You will see the unspoiled landscape of typical farming villages in Japan. Fireflies can be seen in early summer.

世界遺産エリア The World heritage area
3つの世界遺産「二荒山神社」「日光東照宮」「輪王寺」のある東武日光駅までは電車で２０分です。
It takes 20 min. by Tobu Nikko line to Tobu-Nikko terminal (station#: [TN-25]). You can transfer to Tobu bus bound for the World Heritage area (Futara-san-jinja shrine, Toshogu shrine and Rin-no-ji temple) at the terminal.

奥日光へ続く有名な「いろは坂」。奥日光方面へは東武日光駅前からバスが運行されています。
"Iroha-zaka" slope on the way to Oku-Nikko‚ very famous for 48 curves along the up & down slopes. Bus service bound for Oku-Nikko is available from Tobu-Nikko sta.
